My final bonus picture.  This is probably my all-time favorite headshot of his, from the 2008-09 season.  It’s hands-down perfect.  It’s not awkward, it’s not goofy, just simple. Plus it showcases beautifully his heterochromia, which I love.

A beautiful moment in football.  In the 2010-2011 season Barcelona scored five goals against Real Madrid at Camp Nou, and Xavi inaugurated the scoreboard.  Not usually one to showboat or make a big deal when he scores, with this goal he flaunted the crest for the entire world to see.  For someone who doesn’t usually kiss the crest, despite spending his entire life as blaugrana, this is a beautiful thing to see.  Because if anyone “deserves” to highlight the crest of his club, it’s Xavi.

A few things: 1. There’s a captain’s armband in there.  2. The Liga trophy is half his size.  Half.  His size.  3. Celebration!kink. We won the league and that’s hot.  Overall though, I just find it adorably hilarious that the trophy is quite literally half his size.  That amuses me to no end, which is kind of mean since it’s about half my size too, but eh.  At least Xavi’s the kind of person who doesn’t give a damn.  Or so he’d like us to think.

This is another one of those pictures I like purely on a superficial level.  The five o’clock shadow, the strands of hair falling onto his forehead, the look on his face, the strong shoulders and pectorals…  Hell, even the color of the jersey works (he’s probably one of the few people who can pull off fluorescent orange).  Just a beautiful picture of a beautiful human being.

This is a screencap from the 1999 U-19 World Cup in Nigeria, where Spain won the final against Japan.  It’s really fun to watch because four of the players on that squad became really well known professional players, such as Xavi, Iker Casillas, Pablo Orbaiz and Fran Yeste.  This is also the competition where Xavi was passed over for MVP of the tournament and Seydou Keita was chosen instead (fun fact).  It’s a really fun match to watch, if anyone wants to check it out sometime.

Iker Casillas & Xavi Hernández.  My favorite pair of BFFs.  They’ve known each other since they were 16 and even though their clubs are bitter rivals in the league, they’ve managed to stay BFFs.  They’re two of my favorite players as it is, so the fact that they’re actually really close friends “in real life” is awesome.

This picture is a favorite because of my BFF Resa and I.  It’s kind of an inside joke, but ultimately, we just love this picture.  Half hot (Xavi showering?  Sign us up!) and half creepy (IN FRONT OF KIDDOS), it’s just questionable is all.  Questionably hilariously hot.  Don’t ask.
